Fine 7/8 violin by Aegidius Klotz, Mittenwald 1785
Fine 7/8 violin by Aegidius Klotz, Mittenwald 1785
For sale is a beautiful, fantastically preserved violin by Aegidius Klotz from Mittenwald, the instrument was built in 1785 and bears the original label. The violin is in a fantastic state of preservation, almost crack-free, apart from a repair to the top under the left F-hole, the violin has been preserved fantastic and crack-free. It is a typical late work by this master, reminiscent of an Amati model. The violin is superbly crafted, German violin making of the 18th century at the highest level. Why I like to buy these violins so much and love is because their sound almost always guarantees quality and the best price-performance ratio from all instruments (in my opinion!). So is this violin, it's powerful, voluminous, dark and serious on the G-string and bright and colorful on the A and E string. Actually everything a musician would like to have. It has enough volume and carries even though the body length of 34.8 cm is small. The violin is very easy to play too and reacts instantly. The instrument is sold accompanied by a certificate from Hieronymus Köstler Stuttgart.
