German violin bow by Albert Ludwig Heischkel around 1935
German violin bow by Albert Ludwig Heischkel around 1935
A nice, beautifully crafted silver mounted violin bow by Albert Ludwig Heischkel around 1935. The pernambuco stick is round and has a beautiful brown color. The bow is in mint condition despite its almost 100 years. Technically and from the craftmanship, it can easily keep up with good Hermann Richard Pfretschner bows. The stick is wonderfully firm and the weight is 59 g. The violin bow is accompanied by a certificate from Josef P. Gabriel and Matthias Wohlleber.
Albert Ludwig Heischkel was born in Erlbach Vogtland on March 17, 1903 and died in World War II on March 27, 1944. He was the son of Ludwig Heischkel from and was his student from 1915 to 1918, he worked also for H.R Pfretzschner, and from 1926 he worked independently in Erlbach.
