Fine Italian violin by Antonio Casale, Catania 1923

For sale is a rare master violin by Antonio Casale, built in Catania in 1923. Not much is known about this violin maker, we only know about his connections to the Puglisi workshop, he used almost an identical label with the same fonts. It must be said that Casale's works are made more interesting and prettier than most of the violins from the Puglisis, from the varnish and the work. This violin impresses with a beautiful yellow-brown varnish which was applied in imitation style. The violin looks much older than what it is. It also impresses with a strong, robust Italian sound with a beautiful enamel. The violin is also well preserved and is sold accompanied by a certificate from Eric Blot.
